Lillian was an Anti Aircraft Gunner, during the war getting bombed twice out of the Gun Position. Later she was a Auxillary Nurse, When Southampton Hospital was bombed she was crushed by a radiator and buried for some time, she sustained a very bad head injury.
About 1953, she spent some time (about 1 year) in Knowle Hospital (Psychiatric Hospital) for what we would call Post Natal Depression these days, they gave her Electric shock treatment for it, which caused her to have total amnesia and terrible head pain.
Lillian left the family in about 1957, her daughter, June had to go into a foster home until Cyril hired a house keeper to take care of the children.
Lillian had another daughter, father unknown in about 1958. She then met William Fenwick and had 2 more daughters, she never contacted her first 3 children again.
I have found a death for a Lilian Fenwick registered Jan 2000, is this her married name? if so then she was born 8th Nov 1925.
Update - Found Lillian Fenwick, on myheritage.com, details tally with what we already have.
Lillian was in a Mental Health Hospital at the time of her death. (information supplied by Trevor Brownen)
