John Herbert Bowes-Lyon

John was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England and New College, Oxford University, Oxford, England. He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded. He reached the rank of Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion, Black Watch.

John married Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis.
